DR SHAMIR RAJADURAI

ICA Director, Malaysia

Shamir Rajadurai is a Criminologist that works at the grassroots of crime which gives him a great understanding of crime and offers him opportunities to assist with CPTED efforts. He has experience working on CPTED and crime prevention strategies and designs with property developers, municipal councils, town planners, architects, engineering firms, police, customs and individual home owners. Shamir is the co-producer of the crime prevention online mini-series “kuasa wanita di sini” & “Crime, Crooks & Criminology” which have millions of views. He is an International Speaker and consultant on CPTED in Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines, and other Southeast Asian countries. Shamir has also been featured in various TV and radio talk shows, newspapers and magazines both locally and internationally.

MATEJA MIHINJAC

ICA Executive Director, Slovenia

Mateja Mihinjac is a criminologist and researcher from Slovenia. She has studied criminal justice issues in Europe and Australia since 2009. She has conducted research and analyses in CPTED, crime prevention, fear of crime, crime patterns, and other topics. Mateja is also certified in SafeGrowth® program and has co-taught SafeGrowth® workshops in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, and across the United States. She specialises in CPTED that she applies in her private consulting practice through AlterNation Consulting-Europe, a European branch of AlterNation Consulting LLC. Mateja is currently Executive Director at the ICA and runs an ICA Certification Program – ICCP.

DR NORMA GUTIÉRREZ

Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico

Norma holds a Doctorate in Criminology, and a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Norma attended seminars at the University of Córdoba in Argentina. She also holds a Diploma in domestic violence and forensic psychological opinion and is a member of the Latin American Association of Legal and Forensic Psychology ALPJF. She’s a psychologist and head of the Psychology Area in the Coordination of Social Assistance for Children in Conflict with the Criminal Law in Guanajuato. She was a scholarship recipient from the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies CONAHCYT. Norma also served as a research professor at the University of Security Sciences of the State of Nuevo León. She was a C5i trainer (State System of Coordination, Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Intelligence) and has been a teacher in different courses and Universities in Mexico. In addition, she is a columnist and reviewer of scientific articles, as well as a thesis advisor; speaker at a national and international level, and also works as a therapist. In 2018 She received the distinguished collegiate professional recognition for merit to outstanding professional practice.

DR. MANJARI KHANNA KAPOOR - Moderator

ICA Director, India

Dr. Manjari is a practising architect and academician at the leading architectural schools of Delhi NCR. She is the first in South Asian region to pioneer ‘security through architectural design’, propagating the concepts of CPTED and counter terrorism through design.

For this objective she is the Founder President of ‘Association for Building Security- India’ a chapter of the ICA and a Director on the board of the International CPTED Association (ICA). She is also the author and Chairperson of the SEQURE standards for design of buildings and rating systems.
