CPTED and social unrest
We’re proud to present an inaugural webinar of the ICA – the International CPTED Association. Our webinars will be a regular service of the ICA and we will run them every 2-3 months.
Our first webinar will focus on a current topic of great consequence: social unrest. Our expert guests speaking on the topic are Dr Macarena Rau, the President of the ICA, and Greg Saville, Inaugural Chair and Co-founder of the ICA.
They will discuss the historical reasons behind social unrest, and why we have seen an uprise in protests and civil disobedience throughout the world.
Topics will include:
- Social unrest as a global phenomenon
- The causes of social unrest
- Why Latin America is the most criminogenic region in the world
- CPTED as a useful tool for preventing social unrest
Our guests with also be answering your questions. If you have any topic-related questions for our speakers, please enter them in the relevant section during registration. Alternatively, you can also email questions to us at later stage or ask them during the live webinar session.
The webinar will be presented in both English and Spanish (see below for Spanish).

Estamos orgullosos y contentos de presentar nuestro primer seminario web de la ICA: la Asociación Internacional CPTED.
Nuestros seminarios web serán un servicio regular de la ICA y los llevaremos a cabo cada 2-3 meses.
Nuestro primer seminario web se centrará en un tema actual de gran importancia: los disturbios sociales. Nuestros invitados expertos en esta oportunidad con quienes conversaremos sobre el tema son la Dra.
